Marie Connor, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Marie Connor is a seasoned practitioner with nearly 20 years in the field of alternative medicine. She was a bodyworker, intuitive counselor and hands-on healer before she began acupuncture training in 1997 at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now known as TAI - SOPHIA).

As a bodyworker practicing with patients in psychotherapy, Marie saw the limitations that held her patients back from moving forward with their therapy. They often got stuck at some point in their therapy with little movement forward. The ones who were receiving acupuncture, particularly Five Element acupuncture, faired much better and moved through their therapy more quickly. Acupuncture treatment had helped to open blocks that could take some people years to open on their own. So Marie decided to add acupuncture to her medicine bag.

In 2000, Marie opened an office in Columbia, Maryland and another in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. She practiced at both places until 2003, gaining great experience and working with a very diverse population.

In 2002, Marie was invited to become a Crossings Practitioner in Silver Spring, Maryland. This opportunity afforded her to work with seasoned, first-class practitioners of several healing modalities. It was an invitation she couldn't pass up. She closed the other offices after joining the staff at Crossings and hasn't looked back.

Since being at Crossings, Marie has built a strong practice, taught workshops on the Five Elements, classes on meditation and has held CEU status for acupuncturists and social workers to learn communication skills using the Five Elements system.
